There had been many rumors as to where highly-rated Italian U-21 keeper Marco Amelia would be playing this season after he starred at Livorno this past year. After links to Milan, Lazio, Parma, etc, he's ended up at Lecce. I guess those clubs were just using him as leverage while negotiating with the players they REALLY wanted. Anyway, hopefully he'll do well in Serie A. He'll probably get a lot of work (assuming he starts for them).
