In win 2003 server Mysql 5 is a running service and application is trusted by Outpost - mysql-max-nt and mysql.exe both. But error on trying to open mysql from the command line on the local machine -"lost connection to Mysql server during query". Service is still running. If i right click the system tray icon and shutdown Outpost then the mysql command at the terminal window works fine. restart Outpost and again the same error of lost connection durin query. Outpost log viewer says both mysql-max-nt and mysql.exe have been allowed access according to the rules.
So why does a local terminal window command line command of "mysql" give an error of Lost connection to server during query???
Can anyone help us get our settings correct?? Thanks much MarkandeyaWE upgraded to the newest version of Outpost and started with the quick settings option. Mysql worked automatically. then we fine tuned everything. So this problem is gone but not fidured out.
