Skin Issue - XBMC Unusable

  • i started checking out the scripts and got one that downloads skins directly to the xbox. after installing it, i went to select it and after xbmc changed the skin, the buttons stopped working. reset, and then i get to a screen where stuff can be highlighted, clicked, but nothing happens. the ftp doesn't work anymore so i can remove the skin. what to do? thanks in advance for the help, it's greatly appreciated.


  • you do not have any sort of alternate dashboard?
    is this a softmod box, and if so can you boot the exploited game?
    if you do this you will be able to regain ftp access temporarily.
    at that point delete your xbmc install and send over a fresh copy. then i wouldn't suggest using that script.
    also, please provide a link to the script you are talking about.

    no, it's not a softmod. xecuter3 is the chip.

    the default dash for the chip is on there too for the x3 but that doesn't connect by ftp it seems either.

    the script was simply xmbcskins - i think the skin was mc2006. i don't know of any links to the script as i downloaded it directly to my xbox.
